Printed Date: Friday, November 22, 2024 Lucknow University to get air quality monitoring station

Lucknow University will have its own air quality monitoring station. LU received the air quality monitoring device from the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) on Tuesday. The instrument will help record real-time date of atmospheric pollution. The device has a PM analyser which will help find out the concentration of PM2.5 and PM10, air pollutants responsible for making Lucknow air poisonous.

The air quality could be monitored round-the clock with the help of the device. It will help avail real-time and precise data about the air quality by measuring the presence of particulate matter and other pollutants like carbon dioxide and sulphur.
"The instrument will be of great help for students and teachers who want to conduct research in the field of atmospheric pollution"
