The maximum temperature in the State capital touched 41.7 degrees Celsius, with Jhansi being the hottest place in Uttar Pradesh at 46.6 degrees C.

According to the Met department, rain or thunderstorm are very likely at isolated places over eastern Uttar Pradesh and weather is most likely to remain dry over western U.P.

 

Jhansi was the hottest place in the State, where mercury touched 46.6 deg Celsius. The Met department has warned that thunderstorm or dust storm accompanied by gusty winds are likely at isolated places in eastern U.P. The districts to be hit are Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddarthnagar, Balrampur, Ghazipur, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Gonda and adjoining areas.
